Congressional Democrats Disclose Most Recent Batch of Epstein Photographs as Department of Justice Time Limit Nears
Committee
The House Oversight Committee has released a batch of around 70 photographs from the estate of late found guilty sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
This represents the third publication from a tranche of in excess of 95,000 images the body has acquired from Epstein's holdings. It includes pictures of passages from the novel Lolita written across a woman's body, and redacted pictures of women's foreign passports.
This action comes hours before the 19 December due date for the DOJ to make public every documents associated with its probe into Epstein.
"These latest photographs bring up more inquiries about what exactly the Department of Justice has in its possession," remarked the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.
What's in the Photographs Released
Some of the photographs released on recently show Epstein conversing with academic and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a private plane; Bill Gates standing next to a woman whose face is obscured; Steve Bannon sitting at a workstation opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.
Investigative Body
These are the latest wealthy, prominent individuals to be pictured in Epstein estate photographs disclosed by the House Oversight Committee - earlier disclosed pictures also depict US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, previous US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.
Being pictured in the photographs is is not considered indication of any wrongdoing, and several of the photographed men have stated they were not involved in Epstein's criminal activity.
In a press release issued alongside the image release, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not supply context or dates for the pictures.
"Photographs were selected to furnish the American people with openness into a representative sample of the photos obtained from the estate, and to provide understanding into Epstein's associates and his exceptionally alarming actions," the statement says.
Oversight Panel
The publication also contains several photographs of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita penned in black ink across various areas of a woman's body, such as her upper body, lower extremity, pelvis, and back. Lolita tells the tale of a young girl who was manipulated by a older literature professor.
An example of a passage from the work inscribed across a female's chest reads, "Lolita's name: the point of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the roof of the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".
There are also a series of images of women's travel documents and identification documents from countries worldwide, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
Investigative Body
Most of the information on the papers, such as identities and birth dates, is obscured but the committee said in a announcement that the travel documents pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were interacting with".
A further photo shows Epstein positioned at a desk in close proximity flanked by three women whose faces have been censored - one has her hand on Epstein's chest under his clothing, and another individual is crouching to look at a adjacent laptop. Epstein appears to be helping the third individual fasten a piece of jewelry.

An additional image disclosed is a screenshot of SMS messages from an unknown individual who states they have been provided "some girls" and are demanding "$1000 for each individual".
Photograph Disclosure Arrives Prior to DOJ Due Date
The panel has many thousands of photos in its custody from the Epstein holdings, which are "both graphic and ordinary," its announcement on recently noted.
The House Oversight Committee first subpoenaed the estate of Epstein, who was found dead in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking, in August.
The photographs and files the Epstein estate provided to the committee are different than what is commonly referred to "Epstein-related records". Those are records within the DOJ's control connected to its independent investigation into Epstein.
In accordance with the recently passed law, which Donald Trump made law recently, the DOJ has until 19 December to publish its records. The full nature of what's included in the DOJ's records is unclear, and it's probable that a significant portion of the information will be extensively censored, similar to House Oversight Committee materials
