Netflix Selects Spot-On Performer for Bentham in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the real showdown isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.
Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Mr. 2. The role can use their power to transform into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their right hand. The performer, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a rendition of that role reinterpreted as non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action show, unlike the source material and cartoon version.
The new cast member is joined by multiple fresh additions who will portray Baroque Works to reality, featuring leader Mr. 0, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the cast as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Though Bon Clay is a important part of the organization, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Considering the next season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this represents a major departure in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.
Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the part. In addition to their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.
The platform’s adapted One Piece program is due to premiere for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
