Renowned Star The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Has Died at the Age of Sixty.
US actor Finn, who was seen in popular television series such as "Friends", Seinfeld and "The Middle", has died at the age of 60.
The comedic improv actor died at home in LA recently following treatment for cancer beginning in 2022, per reports.
"Pat considered no one a stranger - just potential friends he didn't know yet," his relatives shared in a statement.
They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive TV Career
His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.
He subsequently landed a repeating character on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
He played the part of the character Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a host who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.
In the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on a variety of popular shows, including:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- "House"
Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons over nearly a decade.
His cinematic roles are It's Complicated and "Santa Paws 2".
A Life in Improv
Away from his acting parts, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was a professor.
He was part of a six-member improv team known as Beer Shark Mice.
"He guided, supported, and advised countless students throughout the years and it would be difficult to find someone anyplace who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Paying homage, fellow actor Richard Kind said there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, helping you be funnier and better. A great dad, a great guy," Kind wrote on social media.
Pat Finn is remembered by his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
