Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour involving young women.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
